Inspection and Testing

This Certificate of Unit Credit forms part of the Level 3 Award in Electric Vehicle Charging Equipment Installation and confirms specialist training in the safe installation of EV charging points. The AM2S (Achievement Measurement 2 – Standard) is the final practical assessment for fully qualified electricians and is recognised across the electrical industry as a benchmark of professional competence. Successfully completing the AM2S confirms that Fred can safely carry out real-world electrical work to the required national standards.

This assessment tests practical skills across a wide range of electrotechnical tasks, including installation, inspection and testing, fault diagnosis, safe isolation and compliance with current wiring regulations. It is carried out under strict exam conditions and reflects the type of work undertaken on live domestic, commercial and industrial sites.

Holding the AM2S certificate demonstrates that Fred is occupationally competent, not just academically qualified. It confirms the ability to plan work safely, carry out installations correctly, identify and rectify faults, and produce accurate electrical certification.
